Luke is originally from the East Coast in rural Maryland, close to Washington D.C. He began journeying westward when attending Moody Bible college in Chicago to complete an education in pastoral studies. Eventually, he made it all the way to the West Coast where he was blessed to serve as the Worship and Youth Pastor for a flourishing evangelical congregation near Tacoma, WA.

Jessica is a dual German-American citizen. She initially grew up in Germany’s Upper Franconia region near Bamberg, but moved to Washington State as a teenager. After a season of adjusting to culture-shock, she eventually met Luke and worked various jobs while studying philosophy and staying involved in church life.

Together, Luke and Jessica have two main ministry passions. The first is to help foster healthy local churches, especially in prominently under-churched areas. The second is to serve college-age internationals through relational and rigorous theological dialogue aimed at nurturing heart and mind. Several years ago, God led them both back eastward to Germany, where they recently planted a small international church on the former East side of Berlin.

Besides ministry, Luke and Jessica enjoy continuing education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where Luke is studying theology, and Jessica theology and biblical languages. They also love craft coffee, rainy days, rugged nature, and singing together!
